Coaching to Serve Others

Posted in Uncategorized on January 28, 2009 by cfryer

I have participated in sports my entire life and have benefited physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally through this participation.  I believe sports can empower athletes (especially children) through physical exertion, mental conditioning, moral ethics, and teamwork. My interest in coaching stems from my positive experience in sports and desire to serve others in a similarly positive way.

I wish to serve others through sports in sports ministry especially in underdeveloped areas and/or special olympics. I would love to facilitate/participate in local recreational sports programs or community centers that provide positive activities, role models, and values for underpriviledged children. Sports provide a positive, safe, and fun environment for children to learn and grow in and I would love to teach and serve these children in any way I can.
